Certainly can, here they are minus the black coating that was hiding what is left of two very worn KG3 coins. :)

I'm amazed how many times it happens to me and others that you get to a site and hit one or two early ones straight up. Call it logic, intuition or luck, for you it resulted in two beautiful coins, for their age they are top notch.

It does often play out like that, I madly gridded the immediate area after finding those two coins, and afterwards spent another couple of hours detecting the surrounding area - nothing substantial other than the tap. I do try to make it a habit of detecting areas that other detectorists might have dismissed due to being too far from the "source". Sometimes it proves rewarding, other times you come away with nothing from a few hours of detecting (aside from some exercise and fresh air). :)

Different inn site today, expecting early 1800's coins through to the Victorian era, instead hit on an unexpected 1946 florin on the edge of the main thoroughfare. Nice gouge on the back of the coin, thankfully not from my digger. :p

Gave the 13x11" coil a run on the open areas, though ended up reverting back to the HF coil to tackle the iron infested area around the inn site. After reloading the V4.0 software last night, I am pleased to see that the previous coil drop outs and pinpointer issues are now resolved - happy days!

For the amount of walking I did, not much to show for the effort other than a few buttons, musket balls, tip off a clay pipe, and a silver gilded buckle. Not sure what the broken tool at the top of the photo is - Victorian era tooth puller? :D

Looks like the end off an artists paintbrush, though could have been something more exotic than that going by the intricate patterns and renmants of silver gilding.

Now that you mentioned that it could a make up brush end...It looks like sterling silver 8)
If it was only plated it would have cracked in half  :Y:

With a few hours to spare, I hit the old school site yet again to mop up a few finds. Lost count of the number of SA dog tags found here so far, and managed to add another nice example from 1898-99. The only coin was a crusty English 1910 hp, though the best find of the day was a gilded broach, inlaid with a stone - stuck about 6" down next to the side of a rotting tree stump.

The Edison Albnite spark plug seems to date around the late 1930's, something different for a change. :)
