I think my SDC gold is getting smaller

I've been thinking the same thing Wally, I thought .11 would be my smallest but not anymore. My last 10 pieces were all smaller :/ At least yours have some character. They look like mini slugs :)

And one 'not so small' one, if it is connected and thickens up inside, it may be my biggest SDC gold :D but does it break my SDC gram barrier ??? Only time will tell.

One more photo to come, i have a nugget soaking in CLR that was extracted with a 4500; and I did a Reeks style happy dance when it was liberated. ;)

Hill End gold has a great shape to it NeoGeo, plenty of character.

Now this is the slug that made my day. 2.3 grams in a single slug, I would usually have to get 20 to make up this sort of weight. :D  and I now have an unhealthy fondness for my brother in laws 4500.

Wally that's nice looking gold. Our last haul averaged 0.14g each and came from right near the source. They are all sharp and odd shaped. Not pretty little nuggets that are nice to show off.

I've spent the last two weeks in the Golden Triangle. Normally I get about 5 or 6 tiny little nuggets perhaps weighing 2 or 3 grams total. This time I ended up with 11 nuggets, 10 of which were my normally found size.

One of them was my best gold find ever. Here is a pic of 29g after a bit of cleaning in a mild acid for almost a day.

Yes, your area produces some fine examples of what we chase and this is definitely one more :) That extra dark ironstone looks impressive set against Gold
Yep, I'm pretty fond of my 4500 as well :) Shes my first love  :D
