One from yesterday, SA, GPX 5000, 0.82g. Also got another one about 0.15-0.2g, both down about 6-8 inches, 17x13 NF evo.

Had a great day out today managed to find 4 pieces from deep ground. This area has a layer of forest litter then a layer of light clay, about 30cm down there is a layer of river wash sitting on red clay. The gold is on the red clay all were found with the z 7000 after I had used the 2300 to remove the lead shot pellets. I did try the 5000 with the 12" evo first but didn't get a peep. Guess I better keep the 7000 for all those very deep sub gram bits.
cheers db ;)

Not much weight for all the effort.
Good finds :)
You know what happens with every bit of gold that I find no matter how small it is?....I look at it in the palm of my hand and marvel at the fact that (unless someone dropped it!) it has been sitting there for millions of years and I am the first person ever to see it. Amazes me :)

Perseverance pays albeit sometimes in small increments. This tiny piece of gold was among 4 bits of bird shot. If I had given up after finding the first slug, I would not have found this bit. The area is near the Happy valley ford crossing. Even though it's been flogged to death there are still quite a few nuggets left. The area is an ancient river bed and has visible rounded quartz everywhere. 6 other members of our team found gold all within the sub gram size. :Y:

Went back to the same hole as last week, with another six coming out of the hole in the wash layer, had to knock off the round is so hard. There is more in the wash as I could hear the faint signals. All were found with the 7000, did give the 2300 and the 5000 a go but didn't get a peep again. Just a couple of shot pellets as well.

Hers a picture of my haul from 14 hours detecting on my secrete spot , used the sdc and the 7000

Somehow i believe my secrete spot may be flogged now :/ only good thing i was the only person to ever detect it , i got around 20 trips from it delivering about 9 grams in sub gram nuggets , would have averaged about 4 nuggs a trip topping at 9 once and only 2 trips with zero. I will be in morning for a few months as unlisted untouched diggings are bloody hard to find these days.

Thinking your secret spot is no good aussiefarmer...

Or something really wrong with both your machines...

Would be trying another spot :goldnugget:

Goody :)
