Great story Les, and great finds. I've been very short on finds myself of late but your story gives me a good boost of enthusiasm. I'm heading off in the morning detecting for 4 days in the Vic GT. I hope to have a turn of luck too. Get back to that spot and clean it out. Good luck.

Went out to a spot that the family and I have visited a few times in the past but hadn't had any luck.
We were doing things around the house all day and were needing to get out and about, plus the kids needed to stretch their legs. So a spontaneous decision to grab the detector and gear was made.
Today turned out to be different, after a quick play around with the kids, the mrs said for me to go have a detect, the grass was playing havoc with her Hay fever. Well, after 20 minutes, and a bit of digging, I found a little piece, about 0.03grams, still a noise in the hole, then found the bigger 0.5gram piece, was happy with that! Got the mrs to have a go for a bit and then she found a little nearly 0.03gram piece as well ! Happy days!

Got out to Blackwood this afternoon. Hard work but nailed this nice speccy.

Just a few for me this weekend at an Inglewood camp.
Wanted to join the PAers at the Vic Melb Cup GT camp on the last day, but it wasn't to be.
Covered in blood from all the bush bashing which the flies loved. Was the hardest detecting that I have ever done.

I didnt upload my finds since few weeks so Here is..

All come from the same area in vic
I found the water worn around a sluiced gully and the specy on the hill side of the gully.. the quartz reef where the specy comes from as been tested but not worked maybe not rich enough. Will definitely go back and dig a bit more in the quartz

Well done all on your recent finds. Some lovely gold being found.

I haven't posted in a while due to a few different reasons. The main one being that I have not detected in a month. I was able to sneak out last night after work and found a nice 6 gram bit deep down. It was a very faint signal but definitely warranted further investigation.

And after a bit of a clean.
