Minelab Eureka gold tips, settings, questions

I love my Eureka Gold detector. It is a great detector. The downside that I've gathered by many reports is that it is an ok unit and not the best at finding gold due to the fact it can pick up mineralised ground noises with it. By my sixth session out in the field I was able to pick up the...

    Found bracelet Green Lake Victoria

I'll give it a try here. I found a bracelet at green lake off the western Highway in Victoria about three years ago. Still got it for one very good reason. With the internet you would think that I could find a lost and found site somewhere but no luck at all. Cheers

    Help

Take advice from the forum which is very experienced and practice, practice practice. Buy some gold and burry it at different depths out in the field to learn the response from the unit. It won't be long before someone gives you the settings to use on here. Cheers

Minelab Eureka gold tips, settings, questions

Short and simple answer. Thanks. I've always had the thought that there are two primordial physical properties at work here. One is the stuff in the ground and the other is the frequency looking for it. You can tweek the frequency emitter ( metal detector ) but in the end you are still looking...

I haven't used the discrimination mode on my Eureka Gold as I've had good success without using it. Anyone think I'll do better using it? Empty

    clunes

If I remember correctly around ten minutes north of Clunes is a small hilly area on the right side of the road in the Dunach Forrest area. It's the Ballarat Marybough Rd (C278). If you look on the map and find Quartz Rd you will see the junction at Dunach. Head back a little way and you'll find...

    Blackwood gold detecting area map

SC75 We used the second map link at top of this post. It clearly shows north of O'brians Rd as the recommended detecting area. O'brians Crossing is obviously outside of that area which we had a look at but didn't detect there. Is this an out dated map then?

    Blackwood gold detecting area map

Hey everyone thanks for the help. I did reply earlier that I'd report in after the weekend but alas I don't see my reply above. Anyway we started out by the map on O'brians road about 200m in from the main road and I slowly worked my way down the gully. It's my most hated type of ground with...

    Blackwood gold detecting area map

Hi Y'all As with most forums I can't for the life of me find the Blackwood map which shows where we can detect and where we can't. It's hiding somewhere in this website. It shows a road which is bordering the search area. And if anyone tells me to use the search function I'll pinch all of your...

Where to look for gold in Talbot Victoria

Take two! It's been a while so I must thank all of you for your valuable input. We've since been out there and struck it big time! Yes that's right we found gold! Enough to buy one valve cap for our car! So we went over mostly well dug up ground and met some other guys out there doing the same...

Minelab Eureka gold tips, settings, questions

Here's another video to remind old hands and Newbs that the 'Eureka Gold' can have limitations. If you rush your pay dirt over the coil you might miss your strike. Since I haven't posted ten topics you'll have to search for the video on you tube. The title of this post is the video title...
