Hello i just bought the xterra 705 and was hoping some one could teach me to use it properly to find gold . From canberra

Take advice from the forum which is very experienced and practice, practice practice.

Buy some gold and burry it at different depths out in the field to learn the response from the unit. It won't be long before someone gives you the settings to use on here.

Don't waste the gold as he may not find it again. use lead shot of different sizes as that will give you a feel for it. Remember that different size and shaped gold will give a different signal. e.g. wire gold is not nearly as easy to detect.
