Four charged with stealing gold from live lease.

Not to play it down, but 50K valued for whose benefit? Sounds like something a prosecutor would invent....

    havenacrack finds sumtings

That's more than having a crack! I was expecting that first pic to say 'my finds for the year!'

    Can anyone read Chinese?

From the better pic I still think Huan Shang Zhao Long It's hard with the embossed characters and slight variations - at least in English you can make out a certain letter if 1000 different people wrote it.

    Can anyone read Chinese?

Middle character definitely Zhao, last one is possible Long. I'll thrown it out as Huan Shang Zhao Long It's an opium can. Good quality pic will sort it out.

    Adelaide metro Relic/Coin Hunting?

Thanks for all the replies guys, just got to keep on cracking at it and not expect any pre decimal 'coin spills'. I've gone over a couple of the 'thrashed out' and obvious places and really tried to get into areas that aren't as easily accessible ie sides of drop offs etc and have found some...

    Tele Marketers

You can add don't have a website or use third party advertising for work! I receive about 30-50 emails per day and anywhere from 2-10 calls per day. Sure does waste a lot of time.

What would these guys have been searching for? Adelaide hills

Be interested to hear what you found. Got a pic of the area, be keen to see the ground type they were digging through? It's not gold, but large (as in a bag of cement!) pieces of quartz with some good clear crystals fetch over $1000.

    Adelaide metro Relic/Coin Hunting?

I've spent the last year scouting out metro sites, trying all sorts of places, researched historical info/pictures and yet been finding bugger all....well anything remotely interesting.... I decided to try the Torrens banks around Walkerville knowing they have probably been worked over a...

What would these guys have been searching for? Adelaide hills

I've heard they can fetch some good money, I believe there was a disused quarry in the Adelaide Hills that was a good source as well.

    Duty free

I think you've got the wrong end of it. The TRS scheme was developed to increase retail sales and aimed at travellers. It allows you to buy something that you take overseas (can use) and can claim the GST component back when you arrive. There's a couple of hoops to jump through to achieve this...

    AFL who do you follow?

Long time Hawks supporter. My son is a hawks supporter and probably a bit lucky with the good record over the last 8 or so years. I had to explain to him that I saw those good years through the mid-late 80's and early 90's and there was a long drought after that!

    Brexit

Undervalued Australian bank shares were there for the taking circa GFC. Some people took risks, some cashed in and hid it under the matress. ;)

    Reporting Telephone Faults

I had an older couple who asked me to look at their phone issue while doing some elec. work for them. Turns out they have had intermittent service for over 6 months, the tech's have a look and leave and say it's working. Phone call after call and Telstra kept putting it back onto customer issue...

    Australian History

You got it DrDuck. I was getting worried my first question broke this thread! :o Land was sold at a fixed price per acre. The proceeds of sales were put into free passage for possible employees to SA. The issue with some of the older colonies granting land; it was so cheap employees would leave...

    Australian History

Ok, I'll give this a go and keeping with a local theme for me; In the early foundation of a colony, what did South Australia do ensure an adequate supply of labour for land owners? This was something first adopted in SA.
