Yambulla is productive but only working the creeks. You also need to consider trees often falling across the roads blocking access. Otherwise it is a nice drive. Forestry knocks the hell out the place when they harvest. It's like a WWI landscape.

Just read the 2016 Mining Act and i don't see where it states high bankers are banned. Looks like it isn't legally there based on the legislation. It's legally questionable.

Lots of clay on the Bendoc diggings themselves that makes it near impossible for panning but what you do find is chunky so maybe a SDC would be good to use.

Great story. I'm in Wodonga too. Think I'll get a SDC this month considering I do well with the highbanker but have never detected a nugget.

Went to Woolshed area yesterday to run the high banker. Lots of erosion of the river banks due to the recent heavy water flow. Some large trees have fallen in as well.

Have a Gold Bug 2 but it struggles with the heavy mineralization in NSW.

There's plenty of gold around. Lisle my favourite but West coast has the nuggets that one the members doing well with. Sapphires also are great on the Weld river.

Usually I go down to Eldorado/Beechworth but I ran some test pans from land in the Albury area with results in every pan. Probably a lot of other goldfields around but that don't have the same water flow as Reedy.

I've been very happy with the Goldhog matting. I know it works and there is less to clean up. It's good to know that I'm not losing anything just trying to save a couple of bucks. It suits me because I'd rather be focused on the diggings than my gear.
