Bit dissapointed in a lot of the responses to the initial post. Asking a question doesn't make you an environmental vandal, simple answers stating your reasonable opinion would have been sufficient. Being passionate about something doesn't give the right to vilify.

i found a very nice cuttable 2ct blue in the clearing close Mr Magoo's SB-2 area but I've found that one stone to be the exception. Would love to hear of others experience at sapphire bend :)

Yep, good idea the toothbrush, soaked mine in a toxic mix and it's a painful process and wastes tons of water to clean up :rolleyes: Your big crystal finds are much much better than mine, I am happy, got a few marble sized clean/gemmy deep smoky coloured pieces to facet :)
