G'day folks. getting back into this great hobby finally and just been remembering a spot out in the scrub near Stawell where we used to hoon around in our cars/bikes as young guys. see the pic below. it's a long stretch that's a bit wider than a road and looks like it has had the top scraped...

G'day, haven't been on here for yonks! thort you'd like a pic of a freak find............... about 3m from my ute, in a really trashy spot under high voltage power lines right alongside the Western Hwy and after about 5min of swinging, was only 2" deep and sounded like a shotgun...

Found this old coin in the gold diggings. very worn but can still read the date 1817. not sure what it is or if it has any value?

spent most of the weekend out swinging. finally found my first piece in new ground :D also my first speci found with GPX5000 11" mono about 3" deep. I've got some serious raking and gridding to do now
