Probably 50s or 60s I'm thinking Dan, I can't find it anywhere, but I only searched a little bit.

Hi silver, I found a part of a handle with a horse head at a park on top of the ground after some flooding and soil was washed away.
I have not seen a complete one, but Dad told me what it was from.
How old are they ?

Was happy to pull the silver Smokey, the two coppers can go in the PD copper pile, funny, I used to save them in slips at one stage (ha), protect the copper n all from scratching lol. :lol:
my mind is dull, I know I should be doing some work, and I feel that same twitch your feeling, but I'm tired as well, n time is just gunna slip by n all of a sudden there'll be too much else to do instead of hunting ,.... maybe I'll see if this old cordite will fire up still. :Y:

Very nice silver, that (Cheaper by the minute) had me in laughter so thanks for that and also (Ring a ding ding).... Cheers mate and well done now go out and get some more treasures as well as exercise and some fresh air. But watch out for the the the :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: because that's a sure sign of rain.

I think what happened is that an intact bullet fell apart as I retrieved it, thus the clean looking cordite ,.... may not have fared as well if it were open to the elements all that time, I'm thinking I should give a piece the hammer test to see if it could explode upon impact as well, just so's we'll all know.
