Xterra 705 finds

Hi Mate with the 18.75 dd coil i put it in beach mode...and use auto tracking...sensitivity is usually stable around 10 to 12 in the wet sand .....and i can run it reasonably smooth at around 22 on the dry sand :Y:

Nice bit of bling silver Smokey, the ring looks to have a bit of age to it. You will have to start to try and decipher ring pulls from good targets, reckon I'd get pretty sick of digging them after 10 minutes netherlone after 3 hours.

Hi there Gp..Unfortunatly on the xterra most bottle tops sound and id the same as a $2coin..The ring pulls where different to any ones I've seen before...They were much thicker than usual...and only gave off a single tone..not the usual double beep...and all id's were 22 to 24...same tone and id as a threepence or a 50c..But after the 20th one i should have discriminated out those numbers as there were no thripies or $2 coins found anyway. :Y: Leason lernt..for that park. :Y:

Hi Guys most of you would already know this but for those that dont know heres a good way to protect your pinpointer tip...use a tent pole bottom..Find one that fits your pinpointer from bcf or your local camping store :Y: Sorry about the dark photos :N:

That's how I lost my digger sheath I think it's burried in the hole a deeep penny came from
Now the spare sheath falls off too because the pointer clip holes are worn :/

Hi Guys
Was cleaning out the iron in the Silver sand pit the sarvo and got a scratchy iron high tone..The xterra was in all metal mode....switched it to my iron discrimination mode and got a more constant scratchy high tone ..without the iron tone.....dug down about 8 inches to reveal a rusty nail...cheched the hole again and got a constant high tone. Down another inch or so was a nice little 1922 thrippy...I think i will just run the xterra with the iron discriminated out from now on... :Y: 30 mins in the Lj Until next time happy hunting guys and gals :Y: :lol:
