Finally got some GT GOLD almost sold the 4500 till I realised it was in special not enhance one day left hopefully more tomorrow :Y:

I was in the same boat after two weeks i was going to get rid of my 4500 as well. It was a nightmare to run.
A bloke i met showed me his settings and set mine up the same. I run in special and sensitive smoothing and it runs perfect.
Have found 36 bits of gold since switching it to those settings and its near perfect every time bar the odd bad emi day.
I am not game to change settings now as it runs so awesome

36 bits well done mate, yeah the mineralised ground up at dunnoly drove me insane came home with the grumps, went back out and looked at the front panel and felt like a fool :lol:

Hi all. Been a while. Up at dog leg track Dunolly yesterday and today. XTERRA 705 gold mode here drives the machine nuts from the mineralisation. Tried in coin mode near the mullock heaps. No gold but an old florin. I'll post some pics when I get home.

Gotta love daylight savings!

The wash up from 3 days detecting at my patch, 13 pieces including 1 quartz specie and 2 ironstone species, the larger ironstone specie has gold spread right through all sides.
NF 12" & 14x9" evo did the damage.
Only 4 bird shot and 1 bullet which made it an even better trip :Y:

Wow! I would bet that the larger ironstone specimen is going to come up absolutely awesome after a good soak in HCL. Congrats! :Y:

I'm going to keep it in tact because I think it looks better, would hate to see it fall apart if I soak it, only soaking the small ironstone specie :Y:

From my last trip to GT Victoria. Total 14g for the week, biggest 8.5g and a nice little quartz speccie. Already posted in member finds, but thought i would post here too. Looking forward to my next trip over there.
