Hi all I was out today swinging my coil in the gt and this rock set my machine off does anyone know what this is? don't want to brake it up in case its worth something. Its very light in weight I will put some photos of it to see if anyone can help. Thanks ffg

Are they green crystals on it? Might be olivine basalt but the black rock really doesn't look much like basalt to me.....

Looks like basalt to me..."shrugs"

Was it 'dug', or on the surface?, and was there any indicators of a fire-pit?

Now you broke a chunk...do you get 2x signals now? or just one piece?
 
No color then imo...may be meteorite, though GT not really the hot-bed for that kinda thing... :/

I also imagine meteorites to be much more dense than native examples so it might be too light for meteorite?

I'm out...but watching. ;)
