Thought I would share this information for anyone interested.

XP Deus Online Store Australia is hosting "Deus Dayz". This is a chance to have some hands on experience with these machines.
FB page and web site links below. The next days are in Newcastle on the Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Monday 11th January.

Great to see a distributer doing this. Good for the industry.

What a great idea, Clegy should hopefully do the brand some justice after a very rocky start in Oz thanks to previous distributors. Personally I love using this detector, and hopefully others will find the same given the chance. :)

It will be great to actually have a play with one and not just buy on what we have read.

Too true, despite being a technological powerhouse and predominantly a tone based detector, it will not suit everyone, especially those relying on TID's, so always good to be able to try before buying. The weight of the detector alone should win a lot of fans. :)

Hope you find some dryish ground by the ramp
Been flooded past 2 days but the water is going down quickly

Hi all,
SUPER Excited about tomorrow, I think I found a spot near the rowing Club.
The original spot is a seagull bathing area at the moment.

LOOK for the RED PT CRUISER with XP signs on it.

Thankyou to all,

There will be more of these days over the course of the year.
Keep an eye on the facebook page or join the newsletter.

Google "aussie detectorist"

I'd link but I am not a paid up sponsor so I won't till I fork over the dough.

Again Thanks for the support,

Well what can I say. The pics tell the story :D
Rocket and I met Clegy at Carrington and he showed us all the in n outs of the XP Deus. I liked them before and now I WANT one.
How many dealers will let you take a detector for a proper test drive? Not saying he will let just anyone do it. After all I am a top bloke. ;)

Rocket and I had the chance to use it in real conditions, digging real targets. As we set up I passed the Deus to Rocket to go back to the car for my camera. I walk back over and he says, "dig here". BOOM. Silver pocket watch. Rocket kindly let me bring it home but it was a team effort. We did get plenty of trash but we don't know yet what the Deus is telling us so dig everything. We did a bit of one swinging, the other digging. I'll let you decide who did the hard yards. So all finds are from both of us.

What I like: Man it is LIGHT. Like picking up a stick. I like the technology too. It has so many settings and options that anyone should be able to find a set up they like.

No real dislikes. It has a few things different to my Pro but that's just a matter of getting used to a new system. The depth indicator seemed off but it may have been me not knowing how to use it correctly.

Highly recommend anyone in the Newcastle area getting down to see him over the weekend. We know that recently some people have had issues with suppliers for these machines. Well here we have a distributer with the XP Deus in stock in Australia. No waiting for it to come from overseas.

The finds.
