Harvested this lot today. Still stacks more. Already made one batch of dry powder.
Too lazy this arvo to start this lot in the dehydrator.
Toying with the idea of making a few jars of relish or jam or super hot sauce or whatever you wanna call it.
Don't think that'll happen though.
Dry powder is very versatile and can last for years.

All your super hots..
Grind to a fine powder,
Put some in a sealable jar,
Add enough hydrous isopropanol/ethanol so it covers + 50%,
Give the mix a good stir for 10mins every few hours for 3 days,
Filter through coffee filter into a beaker and leave to evaporate the ethanol,
What's left is pure ]:D :skull:

Thanks mate. But I'd probably end up drinking pure chilli juice. :argh:

Still got the last of the egg plants to harvest. I should get onto it before they go hard and useless. Love them sliced and fried up in olive oil. With lots of salt of course.
Also still quite a few sweet caps going. This one is Golden Marconi and is an abundant producer.
It's my go to capsicum that gets grown every year.

I don't usually grow winter veg as I put a big effort into the tomato season.
This year I put 8 caulies and 8 brocs in. I was also going to do some snow peas but gave up after remembering the year we got kilos of them and they went to waste.
I may get some spinach in soon. As long as it doesn't turn out like last time when I had to throw 3 wheelbarrows full away.

Black russians are slowly getting bigger.

I'm going to upgrade my hydro pinneapple system.... going from sitting them in used icecream containers to my very own invention of "Vertical Stagnant Hydroponics".
So from this
1588742336_screenshot_2020-05-06-15-04-41.jpg

To these
1588742400_screenshot_2020-05-06-15-07-07.jpg

It's a two part setup

This is the permanent in ground section.
bottom has holes to let water pass through into the ground.... it will have about 150mm sticking out of the ground
1588742630_screenshot_2020-05-06-15-06-30.jpg

this is the inner section.... water tight at the bottom, designed so I can lift it out remove the plant, tip and check the water and then put it all back in (if I need too).
Also.... I can shift them out of the way if I need to rotary up the garden bed (be a pain to do it otherwise)
1588742816_screenshot_2020-05-06-15-06-20.jpg

It has a drain hole in the top side
1588742882_screenshot_2020-05-06-15-06-10.jpg

designed so as to keep the roots permanently in water and the upper part with leaves dry.

1588742987_screenshot_2020-05-06-15-05-54.jpg

So all i need to do is dig some holes for those outer bases (I have a new pineapple top ready to go in the extra one just to see the growth difference between the old and new) :perfect:
Can all be bought from a hardware store cheaply enough. :D
