bit earlier (and downhill) I scored a green halfpenny ,.... may be a brittania.

but my besty of the hunt was this 1955 6d, just a mere foot or two away from the half penny.

glad I stopped when I did, as the old peg decided to ache a bit on the way home ,... funny how you don't feel the pain while your havin a great time hey !

thinking of tall things ,... there are 3 baby coconuts on our palm tree. :Y:

and the other thing happening is the Morus Negra (black mulberry) cuttings, they're nearly all jumping to life now. 8)

I'm happy with all that ,... helps calm the mind watching things grow, then eating them. ]

So, here's the other side of that haf penny.

certainly needed a scouring on both sides.
Turns out the side we'd already seen had victoria on board

with a Britannia reveal on the flip side

turned out to be an 1866 1/2d

Old, but not ancient :lol:
but I guess that means there is always a sov on the cards there somewhere. :Y:

Only had enough time to dig two targets before the come n get me call came (bugga).
But the first target was a half penny(maybe)
Anyone recognise any features yet ?
looks like Britannia, but facing the wrong way !

wore my thumb nail down a little in the cleanup so far lol.
