Rokewood

Just wondering if anyone has tried panning in the kuruc a ruc creek that runs through rokewood south of ballarat. I do know this area has deep leads a has produced large nuggets the most famous is the orange roughie. As I drive through rokewood on my way to ballarat/creswick/daylesford to do my panning.

Any thoughts? Or is it purely detector area?
