I'm still using the CTX at the moment Danny. Still trying to learn it and see what all the fuss is about. My thinking is that it is over rated by many people. Don't get me wrong... it is a great detector but there are other good machines on the market. I am really liking the large coil because we are mostly going over old sites and it covers a lot of ground.

Just shake my head, seeing him swing that heavy machine/coil combo.

You should try out the 13x11" Deus coil, just the right size in my view when looking at weight vs coverage. It also unmasks very well for a larger coil, and just as sensitive as the 11" (and not a hell of a lot heavier).

Could always strap two Deus's side by side with 13" coils, and have a quad D, 13x22" coil.

I'M BAAACK!

G'day team. It's been a while since I posted. I apologize for being slack and not keeping the find of the month comps up to date. I have just started the April comps and put up voting fore March. Sadly not many entries. I think I need to post results for February and I'll get on that shortly.

Right! onto the finds. After a couple of months on the dark side, (CTX3030), I have switched back to the Deus and testing out the new V4 update.
I have had the odd hunt but nothing spectacular. The first 2 pics are from last Saturday when I went with a few locals to a site that we thought had great potential for some early pre decimal but what we mostly got were BBS. Between 3 of us we scored 104 x 1 and 2 cents.

The other pics are from yesterday when I out gunned Rocket... of course.

I haven't thrown in the towel. Just prefer using a superior detector. ] The CTX will most likely be my beach detector. Just love that big coil for covering lots of ground.
