Pit stop for a day.

I'm traveling through VIC Soon from snowy mountains NSW to melbourne and have a spare day and was wanting to stop in the GT for a day, any recommendations on the better areas to detect with a SDC 2300? I've never been in the area before so not sure of terrain and ground cover. Cheers

Buzz, if you can, drop in to see the guys at Coiltek In Maryborough.... they have maps all over the walls of the GT and I'm sure they will give you some clues. Their shop practically backs on to state forest areas and they certainly helped me when I came over from South Oz.....

Thanks Ozzieau that's great, will probably give'em a ring in advanced as planning to head into gold fields early morning to get most out of the day. Cheers Wolfau that's much appreciated , as mentioned wasn't sure of the ground in the area and was looking for an area more suited for an SDC and I hope lucks on my side
