Ive been in a lapidary club for 5 years in Sydney. Tried fossicking in Inverell, Lightning Ridge & Cooper Pedy. Out in Orange area this week so am coercing my hubby to help me figure out how to pan for gold. Going to try Ophir old mining area but so many people go there. Hoping for some rain to wash more gold out of riverbanks.
Anyone know of other areas near orange township? Or good places in Ophir?
Going to HillEnd on Wednesday too.
Interesting in sapphires or quartz too.
Anyone going to Ophir or Hill End NSW this week?
