Started detecting a few months back now. Its something I have always wanted to do, and should have done when I lived in Bendigo lol.
I run a GM1000 and a GPX5000, and have recently started getting into panning as well.
I am in Gladstone area and mainly stick to day trips from here, but occasionally go away to a spot I know on private land (don't ask lol) for a few days at a time. Heading to Claremont for 5 days soon, and am looking forward to not having to process gold like I do from around this area.
Yet to find a nugget, but have plenty of species with fine and wire gold in them, and some flower gold from panning.
