G'day everyone,
Thought I'd just say hello as I've just joined the forum; Looking forward to get to know everyone, I have been detecting for over 10 year's but I would only go out a few time's a year if that as other commitments kept me busy and have never really had much luck during that time. I first started off with the GP 3500 and never found a thing with it :argh: I obviously didn't have a clue what I was doing. I sold the GP 3500 about a year ago so I don't have a gold detector at the moment but looking at purchasing a GPX 5000 in the next few months as I now have the ability to start going out most weekends.

The gold in the photo was my first ever gold that I found nearly two years ago it was also my first patch as a total of 5 nuggets were found in a small area quite close to each other biggest one on the left weighting just over an ounce the bottom right nugget weighing 8 grams and the top right nugget weighing just over 4 grams another two nuggets that aren't in the photo weighed under a gram each. The 4 gram and one of the sub gram nuggets were found with a GPZ 7000 and the others with a GPX 5000 that I rented.

Planning a two week trip in August in the triangle so hopefully I will find a couple more it's been over a year since I have been detecting and I can't wait.
