Hi all , took my Jaycar detector out to a local area for a few hours this afternoon . Had very limited knowledge of what I was doing but managed to find a few things and more than enough to keep me interested. Can't wait for my 705 to turn up so I can become more addicted lol tried to upload a photo but I don't think it worked , found a few .303 cartridges , a few hand grenade fragments and a penny which is currently being cleaned by a friend.

Hand grenade fragments sounds interesting, what area are you from?
Northeast Victoria , apparently the area we were detecting was an old army range . It's now a popular waterway

if its an old army range, be very wary of UXO's (unexlploded ordnance)

My friend says his only heard of 1 live grenade being found in 25 years , but yes still enough to keep me aware of what's going on . I'm thinking coin shooting around parks would be safer lol . I've got a few things in mind but not sure how well they'd go down with the general public lol

Nice work i just got the xterra 705 . So much fun only been out once so far found an old 50c and a whole bunch of pull tabs lol . Cant wait to find some good stuff
Not to worry at all mate , I'm nursing a self inflicted hang over so it's been a very quiet day, that penny came up really good! Will do it again soon!
