I love playing the guessing game prior digging the targets. Knowing full well the TIDs are useful though if a coin is on it's side you can get quite a different reading. Depth plays around with these too. Steel / iron washers show as good numbers. All part of the game. Then when I use it for gold learn to ignore those chirping signals. Not found gold with it yet. But judging be response of test gold target in the field, it will certainly will ping them within it's capabilities. Great machine on beaches, old human activity sites, and in parks. Had pretty good success at these locations. Just plain fun. Love the weight in comparison to GPX. Still use the Xterra too.
