their is a few differances 800 works on 5 10 15 20 40 khz the 600 5 10 15 khz 800 has 3 light settings the 600 on or off 800 gold mode 600 none

Small correction - the 600 has 2 light settings since one of the updates - low (which works fine in the dark) or retina-burning bright

And both now work on 4khz since the latest update.

I'd like to have a detect with you one day so that we could compare the 600 and the Multi Kruzer over a few targets.

I will be in the market to buy an Equinox very soon and was wondering if anyone had purchased a 600 and now wishes they bought an 800.There doesnt seem to be too much difference between the two except for the Gold mode and the extras (WM 08 and headphones)with the 800.Are these extras worth the extra cost?Also what are the benefits of the WM 08 unit,what is its purpose? I have also heard of the problem of shaft wobble,is this a common problem because to have to buy the custom Detect-Ed shafts would add considerable cost to the detector.

The 800 has all those frequencies available as single frequencies, the 600 still uses the 20 and 40khz but only in "multi"
In park and field 2 it leans more on the high frequencies so you really arent losing much to the 800 since most would prefere multi vs 20/40 single anyway.
