Mapping app wanted

Hi I have been looking for a mapping or tracking app for my galaxy 10.1 android tablet. The ones I have found have had bad reviews. I have only been out gold fossicking once and will be going again this weekend at Mt Crawford in South Aust. I thought it would be interesting if
I had a tracking map to see where I walk plus it could help me find my way..lol Thankyou in advance for any suggestions...Cheers Debra

An app called "My Tracks" is what i use on my Galaxy S4.

Does everything you mentioned.

Edit to add: When im out in the bush i Turn off WiFi and Mobile Data only leaving on GPS,makes the battery last heaps longer.
