How do you use this stuff?
Trying to make a bush button, but the gas keeps blowing itself out
Tried turning it down, and up, won't burn for long, what is the secret?

Wrong burner, that looks like a Propane torch which won't work with MAP, MAP is designed to be used either with Oxygen or with a special swirl torch that introduces a higher air to MAP ratio.

Dave, You got the wrong torch for running Map Gas, The proper one self ignites and has different jets in it, and they burn at around 2000* when pushed,

The Torch you have there is a Propane one,

Map gas torch will work with Map or Propane,, once you have the right torch head no issues working upside down.

Propane torch will only work with Propane

Just bought one on fleabay $31. Over $80 for the brand name one, exact same turbo head.

It is also possible to suffocate the flame.
Fresh air supply must be able enter at the mixture holes , near beginning of the shroud.
The set ups I've seen on you tube run two map units at once.
BUT... They have a better range of the hellfire series and burnsomatic torches .
A much bigger shroud and jetting.

Epic fail, got the right head , burnt well, just couldn't get the gold to melting point.
I now have some fine gold, and two borax /gold marbles

Mate you have the wrong burner on it for that mapp gas, your burner is for those blue bottles of LPG/camp gas.

Did you have to modify the torch? I didnt think they fitted each others thread.

Get a Mapp torch head.

BTW I have two separate Mapp torches with different nozzle sizes
