found this the other day at the lower yorke peninsula. it is cast in lead, looks like had a pin clip on the back like a brooch, there is no markings on it at alland is about 45mm x 35mm. i think it may be a badge for some type of club which may have members names scribed on the sheild when they joined. from the age of the site i think it would date from about 1950ish.

At our yacht club we had that style and you had junior member, senior or official in a little enamelled crest in the centre,that was huuummmmm in the 1960's

thats very interesting bob. so i might be on the right track. probably too far for some yachty to have lost it over here but a local club may be it. i think i will go and talk to the oldest person i can find in town.cheers mark.
