After all the rain Ballarat had in past month Misery Creek lives up to its name.

Not running. Small very small pools. To small to pan.

Tried upload photos but coming back as to large. From the iPhone

In the last 6 years misery creek has only had flowing water in once.
That was about 4 years ago.
If you want to pan on site there, think outside the box, just bring 2 or 3 20ltr drums of water and a large plastic tub so that you can re-use the water.
I have done that there plenty of times .
Its better than loading up buckets of possible pay dirt and processing it at home.
Good luck :Y:
Cheers Steve

It flooded in the 2016 rains , i think. The old misery creek bridge between berringa and dereel got virtually wiped out. The big pylongs got uprooted and some washed away .Have a look at the pics on the cape clear CFA website ,here http://www.capeclearfirebrigade.com/12/gallery . I am not sure how much of the entire length of the creek was in flood at that time ,but gee, there was a lot of water around that region.

These are the pics Ward69 was trying to post up here last night of the Misery Creek.
