Just called the wa mines department about it they said its not an issue u can pass through any of the leases live mining or any other as long as u are making sure to do minimal disturbance to ground ect only need a 40 e if intending to prospect on the live leases apparently she said dont even have yo contact the lease holder can pass through as u pls

I asked even if an operational mine and she said doesnt matter ? Seems sceptical pretty much sayin u can just drive through an operational mine site without contacting anybody before hand and they cant do anything

That sounds like pretty dubious advice to me, as the mining company could be held liable for any accident on their operational lease.

My thought to apparently u can but not aloud on main haul roads and active parts of mine ect

That makes sense. Personally I wouldn't want to push my luck: if a haulpak doesn't get you, a dozer will!

Yer for sure iv seen some of the haul truck operaters around lol i wouldnt be keen on drivin on the same road lol

IMO best practice would be to contact the Mine operator & tell them your intent to pass thru the lease. They should provide the safest route & may even escort you depending on the mining activities?

100% would expect a rude reception doing it any other way really even if u are aloud but of common courtesy
