The boss could do with a new gps,so i thought id surprise her with a garmin 25 touchscreen, reckon they look pretty good and touchscreen is so easy to use,so straight to ebay, one mob had a good price but out of stock, few others were probably retail price,so googled prices and found johnny appleseed site, have heard the name before but wasnt sure who they were, price was good and stock ready to ship in oz,just a heads up if ya shopping for gpss, think they specialise in them, site seems very professional and safe, hope it turns up. lol

Hey Dave,

I'll be getting a couple of Garmin Rino 700's from them in June just before our great escape. Well priced and deliver quickly from what I've heard.

Will give you a pm about a week before we leave Perth to head back your way. Still sitting at home packing for Wednesday morning.

Catch up to you then.

Doug and Carol

Hey Goldchaser, why is it that sellers always have great prices when they don't have stock?
Reminds me of the two Ronnie" that store had them at 10 pounds cheaper than yours. So why didn't you buy it from them? They didn't have any! Ah, when I don't have any they are 12 pounds cheaper!"

Johnny Appleseed is a top company to deal with, I have been buying from them for about ten years and am happy to report , never had a problem with any order. Kimball Thurlow is one of the owners and a top bloke, when they first opened they had one small shop in Annerly, Brisbane, near the Fire Station and now are in Sydney and Melbourne as well.

Very happy to recommend them, no affiliation other than as a very happy satisfied customer.

GC only going on what I have been told as have not used one, but apparently the touch screen don't fair to well for prospecting. I should imagine it's the dirt and grit on fingers maybe ? Again only going on what others that have had them have told me here. :Y:
ps Just re read and realised you have already purchased ? Will be good to get a first hand opinion in any case regards the good and bad re touch screens.

got one i mount on the quad, garmin 450 i think, touchscreen, gets covered in in a fair bit of dust, had no problems with it last cuppla yrs,so easy to mark and name spots with them its not funny.....

Might have to have a look as have a Garmin 64 but it's the opposite in that marking spots is ok but naming and typing with keys is an absolute pain in the proverbial
Cheers

Just spoke with Johnny Appleseed store and could only add here ...................... fantastic product knowledge along with complete unbiased opinion on units .................... will certainly purchase from them in the future :Y: :Y: :Y:

Agree with Johnny Appleseed being good to deal with. 2 * Rhino-650's and more recently USB GPS antennae and GPS Antennae for Garmin in the boat. Good advice, prompt service and fair pricing.
