Hello from Brisbane Northside

Hello,

My name is Luke, 30 years old. I just purchased a Minelab SD 2000 and I am about to start detecting on Brisbanes Northside.
I have read about the Talc-Asbestos Prospect out at Dayboro and also the Wayngur creek out near Somerset Dam (from Gold and Ghosts Vol 3)...
I am still doing my research before going out to detect.

Does anyone have any experience looking for gold in or around Brisbane? I have been up to Gympie and out to Warrick (Glendons Camp Ground) panning...
but I have read about some mines out at Dayboro, Kilkoy and even out at Ipswich...

Welcome to the forum Luke. Some quick scanning through the threads will get you some of the info you're looking for.The sd2000 is certainly still a very capable machine, and the odds will be well in your favor if you swing that coil over a nugget.
