Yes they are very intelligent Rocket and this one was just so cute.... lol :) I should learn to be more careful though, the pier where I am is notorious for Blue Ring Octopus and have been seen right up close to the foreshore.

Thanks Ktmman, it sure is a belly ring... :)

Cheers Silver mate, glad you got your silver fix and glad I got mine as well albeit a big surprise. :) :Y:

Some top hunts of late gda  :Y: ..... 8) Ollie's lucky he didn't get chucked on a hook and launched 100 meters out
If one of the fishos here saw him it'd be all over  :/
That Amethyst ring is a cracker :rainbow:

You know what B5 I didn't even think about that....Poor Ollie... And lucky the Asians weren't out fishing tonight and saw it... Cheers mate... :)

Thanks Heatho, just doing my bit and cleaning the trashy coins out of the water... :) :Y:

Was a smart blue ringed octopus hey !
Just made itself look pasty white and helpless to get what it needed. :Y:

Yes I believe Ollie was mimicking me..... haha :)

Twas a night of firsts for me with beach detecting....I concentrated mainly on the wet sand and also water detecting....
It's sparked a new interest in me and it's challenging to find targets at a beach which is relatively clean in the water compared to many other beaches I have detected.
My first water detected phone, toasted and no chance of it working again... Loud 40 TID and I was thinking Silver?
My first train, woop woop heavy little sucker...Again a Loud 40 TID and again I was thinking Silver?
The forecast for the whole week is hot hot hot 32c all the way through to next week Monday with Thunderstorms on the weekend.
The best thing about living so close to the beach, I can literally be there in 5 minutes and set up to detect within 10 minutes.... :)

Will be getting some silicone and waterproofing the coil....I am getting used to the weight but even so after 3 hours it wears you down a bit.
No worries though at 45 going on 46 years of age I am still very young. All the best to everyone, be safe out there. :) :Y:

Take the battery out of the phone and siak the phone in metho.
give the battery a wash and then rinse in metho. It will be flat anyway and safe to do so.
Then let it all air dry for a day or two.
then run a lead out to somewhere safe where no fire could cause injury (just incase) and give it a charge up.
sometimes you can then find the owner pretty easily. :D

It's wrecked mate, the battery was split and leaking....No back cover saw it rusting....The Screen itself was waterlogged as it had been in the water for a long time by the look of it.... One for the scrap heap mate... :) :Y:

Soooo, when you going to give Cooper a call and see how he's going? :p

Cooper may be floating around in the bay somewhere???

So last night I decide to hit the beach again and do some more water hunting, the coil performed awesome and I pulled out quite a few coins.
Sam and Jess joined me again but something was different this time, Sam rocked up with an Excalibur II and a Garrett carrot...I have to admit
I was a bit jelly but then I remembered the 705 performs well in the water....
I got a bucket lister, one I thought I'd get dirt fishing so it took me by surprise....
Sam and Jess both got coins and Sam managed to get her first piece of jewellery, looks like bling but still a nice find.

Im enjoying this thread Art
You have been doing very well .... now it looks like you have some competition ;)
Good looking bracelet Sam got :Y: , even if its only bling

You know I like the competition and it's because I offered to take them out to the beaches to teach them how and where to look for the best spots...
They are both fun to be around and Sam's favourite word is (Nice).
It's so cool to have some detecting buddies. :)

Cheers Mate. :) :Y:
