Gold Panning on the (Wed) 21st or (Thur) 22nd of August 2013

Hey All,

I have managed to get 2 days off work and would like to go panning (if weather permits) on either the above mentioned dates if anyone would like some company.

I live in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. I have pans, seives and a sluice so im self sufficent.

Even a suggestion on where to try would be appreciated.

GT, if it was me I'd head off to Creswick State Forest and try picnic grounds 1, 2, & 3.

Would love to join you but that work thing is getting in the way

Ahhh Creswick, I went there at christmas last year and it was sooo dry.

I REALLY worked hard for the minimal gold I got.

Digging the dirt and carrying it to the nearest puddle/pool of water to pan it.

I swore I would never go back. 8.(

But at this time of year it may be worth giving another chance.
