G'day from Ocean Grove - near Geelong Victoria.
I'm semi-retired and have had a dormant gold bug activated by watching the various gold shows on Foxtel. if these US rednecks can do it then surely a half intelligent Aussie can have a go at it.
I have found this site very helpful with lots of great resources to read and gain some knowledge. When you're starting with a blank slate every little helps.
So my plan is to
1/ Buy some basic equipment - gold pan etc (tick)
2/ Buy a miners right
3/ Do some exploratory visits to the various gold parks
4/ Re-evaluate - would love to get a small trommel or find an old digger who would share knowledge for labour.
Anyway -great site - any tips welcome - especially if visits to the Vic parks are likely to be worthwhile.
cheers David
