Hi all.
Im Andrew, or Dougy to my mates.
I just received a Go-Find 44 as a 30 year service gift from my workplace. Ive never even held a metal detector before, so Im about as new to this as can be. Im looking forward to learning though. I thought Id start getting to know my machine by walking the dry Creek bed next to my house. Im sure Im going to have a ton of fun, & a ton of questions in the future.

Hey Pinger, how did your place hold up through those recent storms out your way?

We are lucky enough to have a colourbond roof, so we escaped with dents. My mates house around the corner was totally destroyed. Its like a bloody war zone.
