Fossicking licence

Have I been reading it wrong or is a fossicking licence in Queensland $50 a year what a joke compared vic $20 for 10 years we've got it good in vic.

Like Colmaca says $50/year still is pretty cheap at less than $1 a week.

Got mine in WA in the 80's, 50 cents for life.
May stand corrected, $25.00 for life now???

When I got mine @ $20 for 10 years I said that will be the cheapest license I could ever get.

We don't need one in the nt, no boat rego ,boat licence or fishing licence either

A national license sounds nice but just wouldn't work. Each state has different rules/regulations - some that suit that particular state but not others. Some states currently have no license/miners right.
If it did go national places like WA, Vic & the NT would go backwards or lose rights as a result IMO. Best left as is & complying on a state by state basis.

Agreed, like national road laws. Been driving in NSW for the last week, can't believe the regs, drove through zones as follows. 40, 60,80,90,100,110,90,100,80,100,80,60,80,90,100,110,100 all within a 100km stretch of highway, how are you supposed to comply with that.

Yes that's right, I just renewed mine last month, here in QLD $47.00 holy crap just went to the website, gone up to $49 just in a few months, that's outrageous, seeing we only have a few places to go, Gympie is worse than Bourke St in Melb on a Sat morning. And Warwick is 2 1/2 hrs away. Unreal. That's what it is.
