Hey all,
I've gone and hired an SDC2300 and my wife and I are planning a trip around Meredith tommorow.
I've just been having a play with the detector in the front yard and pinged a few things so the detector works lol.

I suppose I'm looking for a little bit of advice or some tips with the 2300 before we head off,

Thanks!

Scrub or brush the coil on the ground. But don't push it onto the ground. 'Light contact' might be the term.

Keep your mobile phone on the opposite side of your body to your detector or turn it off.

No steel capped boots.

Start on sensitivity of 2. Turn up the sensitivity unless it gets unstable.

Noise cancel if it's noisy when you hold it in the air.

Ground balance if it's noisy near the ground.

Dig everything.

Be patient. Be positive. Good luck. Have fun :Y: ;)

Heavy winds forecast tomorrow, be careful in heavily treed areas and park your vehicle where branches and crap are unlikely to damage it.

Well we had a blast today, no gold but dug up a few relics, we met a panner down in the nearby creek who showed us his finds for the day and his tips and techniques, pretty good day all round nice weather and some new skills! :Y:
