Congratulations Mike , 6 days?.... Your off to a flying start :)
Well done finding that button , thats a bloody ripper! im very envious :p

The cash doesn't take long to build up, even from less productive hunts with the odd goldy in the mix. I am on my second container of coins and gear for the year, one day I'll pull everything out and catalogue everything. Might look a cashing some coins in for another coil when I get around to it. :)

Mike.

PSS: I now have two cricket Bails, going to burn them and create my own ashes!

Hey all,

Went out with a mate tonight. He pulled a nice 56 shilling and a 48 thrip. All I got was a bunch of copper dec, a dollar coin, 20c & to keep me happy as I walked back to the car a 44 roo Penny. I was happy after that from 3.5hrs.

Mike. :p

Might have to hit a little garden centre and find one like mine Mike(the big name ones don't stock the good quality hand trowls),...it'll still snap eventualy, but when you weld it back up it'll last a long time with no problems,....you could try welding that one of yours but it looks like it might be a bit thin on for a good welding,....must admit that I have been known to be wrong before though.

hey mike. i bought the same garden hand spade as that, and yes snapped just like that, in soft soil. Silver suggests welding again for ultimate strength

First hunt with the Garrett ACE 250 tonight...

925 silver ring and a few double moolas with change. Only an hour hunt and only scratched the surface. Going back there too morrow to fi d the rest. This machine is a goldie Finder when setup right. :p

Mike.

Went out to a local cricket ground for 2 hours and started picking up a few 1c & 2c pieces right off the bat (pun intended).

Had a mate join me and we both cleaned up on the junk...

I got a couple of nice little finds like this part of a toy plane and an old bottle cap (I don't mind the old bottle caps, it's fun to research)...

A lump of silver (I wish) a little padlock and a few naughty cone pieces...
1417870259_image.jpg

And some fuel money all found around the keeper/ slips area...

A little disappointed as I was hoping to find at least $100 in 1c coin but only managed 10c worth........ :p

Mike.

Well played Mike,...looks like if the goods had been under your coil you would have snagged them.

Probably sounds nice if the rubbing doesn't scratch it,...hope it was a coin spill !

Nah no spill yet, not that lucky but my first Silver!

Went out to my work with a mate. My work dates back to 1872 so we thought we might find a few oldies. Only one 53 and Penny found after 3 hours.

My mate had to go as he got a call from a neighbour telling him some kids had thrown rocks through his work car windshield.

I went to an old lady ark once he left and found a few decimals
