Hi was wanting to if anyone has ever had much luck in the Gibbo river between Corryong and Benambra. I have found a old mine in the side of the river bank down there while hunting might be a good starting point.
 
A GUY I know was up there for a week and all he got was pneumonia glen wills or sunnyside might be a better option
 
Thanks for that I will have a look in that area,it is very cold around there in winter
 
Hi Davo.

Back in the good old days when dredging was legal in Victoria, I spent many days in the Gibbo with a 6" dredge. Got some very nice gold out there. It was fairly patchy but was quite coarse. Probably still plenty left there if you are prepared to search.
