Went down the beach this morning at 5am.
Seems every detector in Adelaide had the same idea.
Still scraped up $15 all gold coins so not completely wasted.
Also found at ring which looks like a wedding ring with an Australian $2 coin solderd to it.
No hall mark just the letters kdm which according to google id gold and cadmium solder.
Hoping the ring is gold.
Cheers rod

What a beauty rod ,.... ring a ding ding. :Y:  :Y:
I bet there's not too many of them out there.
Only a true monarchist would even contemplate a ring like that.
MI5 probly lookin for that one !

Good mornings work mate. Did you compare your finds with the other detectorists?
Yes spoke to a few and not a lot found.
Met a husband and wife with a go find and gave them a few tips.
Some got there just after midnight and had given it a good going over by the time I got there.
Also the tractor with the beach cleaner started up about 530am.
Spoke to a council worker who was relativity new about whether it picks up coins and he said he has only emptied the hopper once and no coins but cans and bottles?

I thought you might have lucked upon one of these,

I'm not really a ring guy but I might ask the missus for one of these for my upcoming birthday, always liked the idea of them. Something interesting to try with a florin or a crown, if you can put yourself to defacing one.
