I used to smoke.
I sometimes wear a hat when driving.

Sometimes I would do all 3 at the same time!

The neighbours who are smokers cracked up one day because smoke from a wood fired bbq was drifting over their way and they didn't like the smell.

Put a small garden by the fence where they smoke.

Get a bag of smelly manure or fertilizer.

Each time they smoke go in the garage open a bag
Fill a bucket and quietly throw it across the garden bed.

There is some fertilizerz that are lethal and really smell.

Ask for advice from your garden supply for the best one.

Then quietly walk away.

Repeat the process each time they are outside smoking.
Sooner or latter they will Twig and hopefully move
elsewhere.

Its about changing behaviour and doing it discreetly.

Do nothing and everything remains the same.

The fact that most suburban blocks in new estates are SO TINY these days probably doesn't help with neighboring noise, cooking smells, ciggie smoke etc either.
I look at the apartment towers built behind my workplace. Most have only a small outside balcony...bbq cooking smells / ciggie smoking on these balconies probably cause some angst at times there with the residents I'd guess also ?

I guess you get what you buy.

Put up a commercial fan on the fence aiming back into there yard and every time they start to smoke turn it on...
