Bucket trommel

I'm building a bucket trommel but am struggling with the mesh.

Dose anyone know where I can buy 1/4inch wire mesh by the meter from, been to bunnings and they only sell it by the roll ($30) only need a meter, the rest would just be wasted.

i'm sure for $30 you can make use of it and cover your cost with all the gold you will get by the time you run around making a few calls and driving to get 1 meter isn't it worth lashing out?

take another look in bunnings... the store I go to has sheets 1m x 1m of square mesh of various square sizes

Its called wire mesh mini panel... plus the 12mm square mesh I found was an ideal size for my trommel..

12.7mm, 1/2 in I wanted 1/4 so I doubled mine up for a sieve .
