Boys and their toys 2018 what did you buy

2018 has been good to me so I'll start things of.

The year has been a bit stressful but I did manage to buy a couple of things - both work related

He's 7 months old now and certainly brings me lots pf joy. He thinks he is a parrot, likes to get up on my shoulders for a nap.

He is a funny one this one.
He is 7 years old and still going strong.
We got him for a Chrissy present.

A Jayco Penguin Outback.
Took it to the WA goldfields in April/May 2018.
Then to the Tip of Cape York and around Australia over August/October 2018.
No chassis problems, but a few internal cupboard doors fell off over the nightmare corrugations.
Minor repairs, and with a Murchison snorkel and 2.5" lift, we're all ready for 2019 travels.

Bought a truck cutting the top off and making a pop top off roader..hope to keep it right side up..

Temp fix just use couple of big ratchet straps to pull down. If you wanted to get a bit flash,
could look at 12 volt linear actuators ? Cheap ( $20 to $30 each) and could make them remote control Converted side lift on camper from struts to these and worked a treat :Y:
