A twin piston ram has two stages.
An inner ram raises firstly, then once it hits its max height, a secondary outer sleave ram pushes it up as well.
Almost doubling the lift capacity height.
E.g 1 , single piston ram Jack....(excluding adjustable thread)
# squat height = 200mm...max lifting capacity range 180mm. ( ram max lift stretch) = 180mm lift height)
E.g. 2 , twin ram/piston Jack... ( excluding adjustable thread)
# squat height =200mm .... max lift lifting capacity range 350mm,
This the actual raising height it can do, 170mm more lift height.
Due to a twin stage/ dual ram piston/s.
These are reguardless of squat height, or threaded adjustments.
More about lift height ratio over there squat height.
A single stage ram simply cannot lift more than the height of the Jack.
But a twin/2 stage ram/piston Jack can almost double the lift height capacity
