Albundy and I nearly started off swinging our last patch, Al tested a nosy Kookaburra for any silvers..nope..then decided to go for a bit of a wonder today and explore some areas weve talked about. ( at least we know theres not much point swining where we went :N: ) Alongside the hike we swung a little but did not see much, couple o penny, i got a shilling and thrip and a neat 1920 chinese coin on the way back to the car. Thanks Ramjet for identifying: http://ykleungn.tripod.com/copperc3.htm
Al donated a penny and we added our mark to a Geocache I spotted under some bark as well :D

Mate be careful out there, I am still to come for a dig with ya's and I would rather not see you walking around with a black burnt face and hair sticking up in the air, been there, seen that before with a guy who was fixing the old (Space Invaders) machine in the Spacies Parlour. A blonde guy with a black face, I know it's not funny and is serious when someone gets hurt but mateeeeeee you had to see it to believe it. I was 12 at the time and didn't know any better, we'll I did but laughed anyway.

Awesome stuff finding the geocache as well, nice one mate and good that Al could add to it. :Y:

Two silvers are better'n none ,... just used to seeing piles of it now I think.
8) :p   :Y:

Neat addition to the Geocache, didn't realise how popular the activity was until I moved down here to SE of SA - come to think of it, many of my detecting spots are Geocche locations. Well done of the silvers Atom. ;)

Swing swing.. Beep beep..dig dig..fill fill... The start of the day began with a constant uphaul of bottletops n pulltabs for us again but Al had already gotten onto a penny soon after and as we gridded slowly up he hit the big boy silver which drove me to a depressing frenzy lol until bam a nice spill of very early silvers as well, showing a 1864-1884 gothic florin, but his is the chonker for the day!
Added in a padlock i forgot to add with yesterdays haul too. Also nabbed a couple of 1900 brit HP and penny, we nearly did a coin trade but went back to beavering the mounds for more shineys.

Very nice hunting mate. Silver ring as well?
To be quite honesy Heatho..when i dug it up.. it was gold.. now its silver.. Mabey a mood ring i dunno but cant see a 925 stamp yet. It has a little sun shape with a hole/dirt in it. Possibly a cheapo fake gem I recon..mood ring bcause the color change? But really unsure about that..it was gold i swear.. 8)
