That looks like a site I would want to be all over with my detector, some good older finds amongst the junk, and two very good condition shillings as well. :)

That 1/2 peny looks good Sandta,... good to see that plastic function is working properly too,....and,... enough money for a paupers tea,... you could eat like a king on that,...just about. :)
 
After my fossil hunt , i stopped at a park on the way back home
To my surprise another unexpected find got under my coil :D

$13.90 and a young Vic penny which was only half an inch under the surface
I really never would have thought i would find that here.
I cant get a date off it yet , but will keep trying

M a y b e,...... it's gunna be an 1893(coin comp coin),.. great bonus for the day. ;)

Following 2 days of torrential rain , i got out for a couple of hours after dinner tonight
I have been over this area previously , so i was surprised to actually get so many finds
I assume the moist conditions contributed as the last time the ground was like concrete

not much junk, for the amount of finds :) I find those brass nuts, with a strip of metal buildt into them. Wonder what they were used for?
