$7 in goldies , 2 x2c , 1953 half penny , an earring and a cone piece

That 1/2 peny looks good Sandta,... good to see that plastic function is working properly too,....and,... enough money for a paupers tea,... you could eat like a king on that,...just about.

After my fossil hunt , i stopped at a park on the way back home
To my surprise another unexpected find got under my coil

$13.90 and a young Vic penny which was only half an inch under the surface
I really never would have thought i would find that here.
I cant get a date off it yet , but will keep trying

Sometimes you can find these coins in the strangest of places, being a"Bun Head" Victoria, could be anywhere from 1860-1894, hopefully 1893.

Following 2 days of torrential rain , i got out for a couple of hours after dinner tonight
I have been over this area previously , so i was surprised to actually get so many finds
I assume the moist conditions contributed as the last time the ground was like concrete

7 threepence , 1921 sixpence , 4 pennys 1920,'22,'33 and 1912 britania and a 1907 Britannia half penny

A pile of lead and the usual ring pulls etc

not much junk, for the amount of finds I find those brass nuts, with a strip of metal buildt into them. Wonder what they were used for?
