My question is how can it be proven this nugget was found in the UK? Different mineral impurities than nuggets elsewhere in the world?

This gold was found years ago, don't know why it has resurfaced?
Yes the origin of gold can be traced, they call it "gold finger printing."

I guess it became relevant again. I figured there would have to be a way to verify the authenticity of nuggets. Will look into it.
