1700's Brittania Coin ???????

Found this yesterday with the Nokta Fors Gold and it is fairly worn . The only thing I can find that looks like it is a 1700's Brittania Coin . Anyone know ? Also the faces are upside down to each other when you turn the coin around .

Nice find - i think that you are right. These coins were minted by my family for the crown because at that time there was a shortage of coin in circulation.

I think it's one of these Jeff, judging by the 2 lines at the bottom of the coin. Seems a bit different to cartwheel penny's and the other one that Casper posted. I could be wrong but it certainly looks more like the features in the link I posted. Nice find regardless.

I found a Cartwheel penny but you could barely even tell it was a coin, the only distinguishing feature was the wide rim.

Very nice find, I think Heatho is right on the money, I've found a couple of 1806 George III HP's, and they are of very similar appearance regarding the bust & Britannia.

Either way, a very hard to find coin, especially with any detail remaining, so well done.

Here's a more worn example, and you can see the obvious similarities regarding George's neck line and where the sash/clothing is positioned around his neck.

I think you may have an 1806 or 1807 half penny. Below are pics of mine. They were only made like this for 2 years. The kings head is upside down.
On mine and yours there is a straight bar under Britannia. On Casper's example it is curved.
